Korean singer Brian will be moving forward in expanding his singing career overseas, singing a duet with pop sensation Sweetbox’s Jade Valerie.
A press release from Jellyfish Entertainment announced Wednesday that Brian and Jade Valerie have come together to sing a duet song “Don’t Tell Me I’m Wrong” which will be revealed in Korea tomorrow and released in Japan and other countries in Asia early next year.
The agency explained that had Jade requested to work with Brian after hearing one of his songs while she was on tour in Japan.
“After Jade and her producer GEO heard the final recording of ‘Don’t Tell Me I’m Wrong,’ they were happy and were amazed with Brian’s voice,” an official from Jellyfish was quoted as saying. The song will be included in Jade Valerie’s upcoming album as well.
Brian, whose real name is Joo Min-kyu, made his debut in 1999 through R & B duo Fly to the Sky who has released numerous albums including “Sea of Love,” “Missing You” and “Gravity.”
He pursued a solo singing career starting 2006 where he released albums “The Brian” and “Manifold.” He is currently working a new solo album which will be released next year in mid-January.
Jade Valerie is the former lead singer of the famous band Sweetbox and pursued a solo career from September 2007. She released her mini-album “Out of the Box” and followed it up with “Bittersweet Symphony.”
She has also recorded song “You Don’t Know Me” with Shinhwa member Kim Dong-wan.
